We are interested in launching new and diverse voices and nurturing writers at an early stage of their career. Twice a year (June and December) we open our door to non-agented authors, writing for Middle Grade, Young Adult and New Adult fiction and adult non-fiction. Non-agented authors can submit a synopsis, short blurb, author bio and the first three chapters to submissions@zuntold.com but only during the months of June and December. Please note that we can't look at work outside of these windows.

YA contemporary fiction where the focus is on grief, loss or recovery from a challenging life event. We are also open to fantasy.
New Adult Fiction - contemporary or fantasy
Middle Grade - magical, soothing with feel good elements to help readers escape.
Shorter reads as well as longer, complicated stories are welcome.

Do you offer feedback on submissions?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer personal feedback on submissions unless we are keen to work with you.
What should I do if you have not responded in 12 weeks?
If you have not heard from us within 12 weeks, please do get in touch. Due to the volume of submissions we receive each week, we're not always able to respond as quickly as we'd like.
